Decatur Square -
The Square is the historic heart of the downtown and is centered around the old DeKalb County courthouse. This 15-block walkable district includes more than 1.5M square feet of commercial including dozens of unique retailers, and 45+ local and national restaurants.
Fernbank Museum of Natural History -
Travel around the world and back in time as you discover dinosaurs, live animals, amazing places, ancient fossils, prehistoric cultures and new science discoveries. Throughout the year, new exhibits and experiences offer more to explore.
Murphey Candler Park -
A 135-acre multi-use park located at 1551 West Nancy Creek Drive in northern DeKalb County and is the largest park in the City of Brookhaven. The park is currently operated by the City of Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department. Park amenities include multi-use fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, playgrounds, picnic areas, a lake, and trails. Youth sports are offered through baseball, softballand football programs that operate through the park. The lake is also home to canadian geese, mallards, other ducks and beavers.
Oldcastle Nature Trail -
Also known as the Marcus Center Trail, the Oldcastle Nature Trail is a great place to go for a quiet walk. The trail, which was developed by the Marcus Autism Center, is a relatively easy and fun path with a large grass meadow along the way.
Woodlands Garden -
Woodlands Garden is an eight acre mostly-wooded public garden located in Decatur, Georgia. The Garden's mission is to preserve a woodland garden as an urban sanctuary to educate and engage the community in the natural world.
